I have just returned home from watching one of the greatest sports films I have ever seen, and that film is called Senna.
I left the cinema one hour ago and I’m still reeling - my heart is racing, my eyes are full of tears.
This is a majestic piece of work, and frankly I can’t tell you if I’m so full of emotion because of the quality of the film-making (an incredible exercise in editing and narrative construction) or its extraordinary subject matter. It’s probably the perfect symbiosis of both.
