With honors aplenty, is Springsteen ready to retire? - washingtonpost.com

fuckyeahtheboss:

On the occasion of receiving Kennedy Center Honors, Bruce sat for this great interview with Joe Heim of the Washington Post (click heading to read in full) - with some additional bits that didn’t make it to the printed article here.

(Spoiler alert: no, he’s not even close to thinking he might perhaps one day retire. Pheew.)

“We’re musicians to the bone,” Springsteen says. “It ain’t easy to get us to go home. We’re traveling musicians. Everybody in that van has got the same thing in their blood and in their bones. And there’s many miles to go before we sleep.”

(Have I told you lately that I love this man? Well, I just LOVE him. SO MUCH.)

He will NEVER retire..he has too much fun on stage. Also, I would cry myself to sleep every night if that happens.
