  • 7.15am trip to bank
  • - £250 (GBP) withdrawn to pay plumber
  • + 2 slices toasted sourdough bread with honey and cinnamon
  • + 2 cups English breakfast tea with lemon
  • - 1 cup English breakfast tea due to major spillage
  • + panic and major cleaning up operation
  • 8am wait for Godot plumber
  • 10am hope Godot plumber has come, fixed the boiler and left
  • + work: Frederic Jameson The Geopolitical Aesthetic
  • + 1 ginseng and vitamins supplement to help with despair caused by Jameson’s impenetrable prose/lack of concentration
  • + 1 email from supervisor answered
  • 11am why is Godot plumber still not here? / why hasn’t he left yet?
  • 1pm phone different plumber asking if they can come round in the afternoon/tomorrow morning
